MTK has all of the resources necessary to serve as the external auditor for any size public company. We currently provide services for 15 public audit and tax companies. In servicing public companies, we take a practical approach to the audit and challenge the company’s management to document and test the key controls which have a significant effect on providing an appropriate internal control system over the financial reporting process. These controls become the basis for the audit that focuses on the risks present in the public company. 

Our partners and directors take an active role in managing our public company audit engagements. This active management style gives you more access to the decision makers than our competitors in the national firms. Our partners staff our public company engagements with professionals with experience in your industry. Our staff of professionals has experience working with Big 4 CPA firms, SOX 404 projects, reverse mergers and other complex transactions.

The professionals in MTK’s public company practice regularly attend continuing education from the PCAOB and Securities and Exchange Commission related to updates, filings and auditing and tax related topics in the public arena. In addition, our membership in the BDO Seidman Alliance provides access to the same resources as national CPA firms.
