As leader of the information technology department, Matthew directs the information technology strategy, projects, and infrastructure of the firm.

Throughout his career at MTK, Matthew has worked together with accounting professionals and others to identify opportunities and implement solutions to business challenges.
Matthew joined the firm as a staff accountant in 1998 after graduating from Winona State University. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1999. In 2005, he became a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), a credential granted by the AICPA only to CPAs recognized for the unique ability to bridge business and technology.

Before accepting responsibility for the firm’s internal information technology, Matthew worked in individual and business taxation, assurance, accounting and assisted clients in the implementation of new accounting systems.
